Make a Difference
Rebuilding Together Portage provides assistance to people who own their own home but who, because of physical limitation or income, are not able to cover the costs of home repair. Typically these individuals have a disability and/or are elderly, but low-income families and non-profit facilities such as schools, shelters and daycare centers are also included.
Every year, volunteers from the community come together to help individuals and families on our work day. The entire operation depends on volunteers like you. It takes a team of skilled and unskilled laborers willing to help others in our community.
National Rebuild Day will be April 29, 2017. Homeowners applying for assistance with repairs must fill out an application. Applications are available for next year starting now. (Please click the link above for the application.) Mail the application to: Rebuilding Together Portage , P.O. BOX 2511 Portage, IN 46368. Do you know a friend or neighbor in Portage Township that could use our help? Print one for them and let them know about us.
In October, applications will also be available at the Portage and South Haven Public Libraries, Portage City Hall, Salon 360, Nativity of Our Savior, Our Lady of Sorrows, Portage Trustees Office, Salvation Army (South Haven), Bonner Senior Center, VFW and American Legion in Portage and South Haven
